Auburn, Ala.--Scenes from Auburn University's voluntary summer football workouts are featured. The Tigers will open the season Sept. 2nd vs. the Washington State Cougars and will begin SEC play a week later at Mississippi State.

Offensive linemen Leon Hart (right) and Nathan Farrow (left) have been on campus this summer preparing for the 2006 season. Hart will be a junior this fall while Farrow will be a sophomore. Farrow plays guard while Hart plays guard and tackle.


Cole Bennett prepares to run a pass route while fellow tight end Gabe McKenzie watches. Bennett will be a senior this fall while McKenzie will be a redshirt freshman.


Senior wide receiver Courtney Taylor stretches out prior to a summer workout. Taylor is expected to be AU's top receiver this season.


Patrick Trahan, a 2005 signee from New Orleans, will be competing for playing time this season at linebacker after spending last fall as a redshirt.

Tristan Davis, who is competing for the starting assignment at free safety, spent last season playing both tailback and in the secondary. The speedy sophomore is expected to be a full-time defender in 2006. He could get a chance to carry the football as a kickoff returner.


Lorenzo Ferguson, who made the move from cornerback to safety in the spring, is shown in a summer workout at the football complex. He will be a redshirt sophomore this fall.


Blake Field, who is expected to be Auburn's number two quarterback this fall, has had a busy summer working out with Auburn's receivers.
