Auburn Fan Day Scheduled for Saturday

Auburn, Ala.--Auburn University's annual Football Fan Day is scheduled for 3-5 p.m. CDT on Saturday at Beard-Eaves Memorial Coliseum.

Auburn football players along with head coach Tommy Tuberville will be available for autographs and photographs at the event. There is no admission charge to attend what has become a popular outing attracting thousands of Tiger fans for more than a decade.

Kenny Irons, shown at the 2004 Fan Day, is one of the seniors who is expected to be a popular player at Saturday's autograph session. Irons is a returning All-SEC tailback.

In addition to the football team, others participating in the event include Auburn's national champion mascot, Aubie, the AU cheerleaders and members of the volleyball and soccer teams.

Free posters and schedule cards will be available at the coliseum. AU officials are asking that fans limit autograph requests to two per person for the football seniors and Tuberville.

The Tigers, who were selected last week at SEC Media Days to win the Southeastern Conference championship, open preseason practice on Wednesday. The opener is Sept. 2nd vs. Washington State at Jordan-Hare Stadium.
