Auburn Picks Up RB Commitment

One of the top running back prospects in the Southeast talks about his decision to committ to Auburn this weekend.

Lynn Haven, Fla.--Enrique Davis (6-1 215), a four-star player and the 18th-rated running back prospect in the country, gave his verbal pledge to Auburn University on his visit to the Plains.

"Auburn has been my number one for a while and I decided to commit," he says. "Auburn is just the best fit for me. My mom, dad and uncle all thought that Auburn was the best fit for me, but didn't tell me. I told them that I thought Auburn was best for me and they told me they thought so too."

Along with Auburn's history of producing NFL running backs, the academics played a big part in Davis' decision as well.

"I want to major in communications, and I checked it out and Auburn has a really good communication program," he notes.
