Slade, 6-foot-1 and 185 pounds, has been playing solid defense this season. He's been going back and forth between safety and corner and has 16 total tackles.
"Teams really haven't been throwing to my side a whole lot this year," he said. "We're just doing what we can to win and hopefully advance deep into the playoffs."
The standout defensive back prospect made an early commitment to Auburn and he spoke about the status of that.
"I'm still definitely going to Auburn," he said. "I won't need any other visits. I went to the LSU game and the atmosphere there was crazy. As a player, you can just feed off that. I'll be going to the Arkansas State game for an unofficial visit. They want me to take my official visit after the season."
Slade has been keeping a close eye on the Tigers' season this year.
"They're having a great season," he said. "Beating Florida was a big win. The defense was great in that game. They struggled a little bit against Arkansas but they'll finish strong."
