"It went real well and I had a good time in Auburn," Alexander says. "I liked the atmosphere and the experience was good. I got to hang out with the team, check out the academic part and everything was real good."
Alexander's player host was junior defensive end Quentin Groves.
"Quentin is a cool dude and I had a good time with him," he notes.
Alexander, who is also a basketball prospect, has football offers from many top programs around the country like Auburn, Oklahoma, LSU, Nebraska, Florida State and West Virginia. He says his favorite schools are Auburn, LSU, Oklahoma, Nebraska and USC.
Alexander plays tight end and defensive end for Southern Lab, but with two tight end commitments in Brent Slusher and Bailey Woods the Tigers are recruiting him at defensive end. Auburn will lose at least two defensive ends after the season in seniors Marquies Gunn and Christopher Browder.
The 6-4, 240 pounder reports a 21 on his ACT and 3.15 core GPA. His Southern Lab team defeated False River High School 58-0 on Thursday night in the first round of the Class 1A playoffs and will play at St. Frederick on Friday.
