Game Atmosphere Impressive To Berry

Top cornerback Eric Berry talks about his trip to see Auburn take on Georgia at Jordan-Hare Stadium.

Fairburn, Ga.--The nation's top cornerback prospect Eric Berry took an official visit to Auburn the weekend of the Tulane game and left wanting to see a little more of the Auburn Tigers.

Saturday he got that chance when he made the trip down I-85 once again, this time to see Auburn face off with rival Georgia. Wanting to see the crowd in a big game atmosphere Berry says he got just what he was looking for.

"I had a good time," Berry tells Inside The Auburn Tigers. "The crowd was way different from Tulane. That's all I wanted to see."

A player capable of playing right away at any school he chooses because of his combination of size and speed, Berry says that while watching the game and seeing the crowd pumped up he could definitely see himself playing in Jordan-Hare Stadium in the future.

"I could definitely play in that atmosphere," Berry says. "It was straight. I just wanted to see how the crowd was and see how different it was before the game."

Berry is a versatile athlete that is being recruited to play both cornerback and wide receiver by the Tigers.

Saying that the visit helped Auburn's chances, Berry admits that he's still very undecided about his decision and will take the rest of his visits before making a final decision. That likely means trips to possible destinations such as Tennessee, Ohio State, USC, Florida, Georgia and possibly Miami.

"Auburn is about the same as the other teams," Berry says. "I haven't seen everybody so I can't make up my mind."

Last week Creekside finished up a perfect 10-0 regular season and will open the playoffs this Friday night with a game at home against Glynn Academy. Creekside features a strong defense that recorded four shutouts and held every opponent under 14 points but it's the offense that pays the bill with Berry under center. In 10 games Creekside scored 317 points and only allowed a total of 73.
