Is Williams Solid with the Tigers?

Marshall Williams talks about his plans to visit Auburn, Ole Miss and California.

Decatur, Ga.--Auburn picked up its 20th verbal commitment for the 2007 class with the addition of defensive end A.J. Greene on Wednesday. With the numbers running tight this recruiting season for the Tigers, there aren't many open spots for linebackers and two have been taken by Eltoro Freeman and Marshall Williams, and the Tigers have been in the mix for Josh Bynes since early in the year.

Williams was one of the summer commitments for Auburn, but he is making plans to use three of his allotted five official visits. However, he says that he is still a commitment to the Tigers.

"I'm just looking around a little bit and seeing different campuses, but I'm pretty much solid," Williams explains.

Williams was in Auburn for the 37-15 loss to Georgia on an unofficial and is still working on the details on his officials.

"The only one I really have lined up is Ole Miss on Dec. 8," he notes. "I'm still working one out (at Auburn), but I'll probably take it the first week of January. I'm also taking a visit to Cal. It's probably going to be around the second weekend of January."

Williams' Southwest Dekalb team finished the regular season at 7-2 and lost in the first round of the playoffs to Rome High School.

"I'm just working out and getting ready for track season," the 6-3, 208-pound linebacker says. Williams runs the 200 meters, the 4x100 and the 4x400.
