Four Tigers Make All-SEC Freshman Team

Four Auburn football players have been selected to an all-star team.

Auburn, Ala.--Three Auburn defensive players and tight end Tommy Trott have been named to the SEC All-Freshman team selected by The Sporting News.

Trott is joined on the all-star team by linebacker Tray Blackmon, tackle Sen'Derrick Marks and safety Aairon Savage. All four players are redshirt freshmen.

Tray Blackmon brings a physical style of play to the Auburn defense.

Blackmon missed the first six games due to a suspension, but played well when cleared for action. His forced fumble against Florida helped spark Auburn's comeback win over the Gators.

He started four games and finished the regular season with 18 tackles and led the Tigers with three caused fumbles.

Sen'Derrick Marks plays defensive tackle for the Tigers.

Marks, who played his best game of the season in the regular season finale victory over Alabama, Auburn's fifth straight win over the Tide, started all 12 regular season games.

Marks has 33 tackles with 8 1/2 tackles for losses including 3 1/2 sacks. Mark has recovered three fumbles and forced one. He also blocked a field goal.

Savage, who made the move from cornerback to safety in the spring, started 10 times and has played in 11 games. He has 48 tackles, which is third on the team. Savage has one interception, one forced fumble, two sacks and three tackles for lost yardage. He was named SEC Freshman of the Week after making six stops with an interception in Auburn's victory at Ole Miss.

Tommy Trott shared playing time with Gabe McKenzie at tight end this season.

Trott took over the starting job at tight end after Cole Bennett was injured in game three vs. LSU. He has 10 catches for 94 yards and two touchdowns.
