Tight End Makes Official Visit to Auburn

Tight end Brent Slusher talks about his official visit to Auburn over the weekend.

Pineville, Ky.--Tight end prospect Brent Slusher, a summer commitment to the Tigers, says he enjoyed his official visit to Auburn over the weekend. It was the only official the 6-3, 225-pounder is planning on taking.

"I liked being able to sit down with the coaches and talk with them for a while," he says. "I also got to talk to some people in the engineering program. I'm thinking about going into aerospace engineering."

Slusher played a variety of positions this season for Bell County High School, including fullback, tight end and linebacker, and was selected as a first team All-State linebacker by the Associated Press.

He is hoping to be able to graduate from high school in December and enrol in classes at Auburn for the spring semester so he can go through spring training.

"I'm still working it out, but I'm going to try to be in by January," he notes. "It's almost final."

Slusher's player host for the weekend was Tommy Trott. "We just hung out and we got along really well," he says. "We played a lot of video games and had a good time.

"I got to see the last 10 minutes of practice or so on Saturday because I was late getting in to town," Slusher adds. "I had a basketball game Friday night."
