Bailey Woods Discusses Official Visit to AU

Tight end Bailey Woods discusses his official visit to Auburn.

Marietta, Ga.--Auburn's first public commitment for the 2007 football signee class says he had a memorable weekend spending time with future teammates on his official recruiting trip to Auburn.

"It went real well," says Bailey Woods. "I got a chance to hang out with all of the guys. It was just a good time."

The tight end from Walton High School says he stayed busy throughout the weekend. "Friday we went to Outback (Steakhouse) after we met with the coaches. From Outback we went and hung out with some of the current football players. We went back to Neil Caudle's apartment and hung out there and played some video games. He took us around the town and showed us some things.

"Saturday after all of our meetings were finished we went to Ryan Shoemaker's apartment and hung out there. We went to another place over at Eagle's Landing and hung out with some of the players over there. From there we went back to Shoemaker's house and played some more video games."

Freshman tight end Tommy Trott was the player host for Woods.

"It was just a great visit," says Woods. "It was good to get to hang out with Lee Ziemba all weekend. He was hanging pretty close with Kyle Coulahan, Chaz Ramsey, John Douglas and I. We were kind of traveling in pack with him and Jared Cooper and we were having a good time. Lee had a real good time. I think this weekend helped a lot."

Woods plans to compete on his school's track and field team this spring before reporting to Auburn this summer to prepare for his freshman season. He says, "The recruiting weekend was really well run by the coaches. It was a really good time. I was real excited to get down there. I have fallen in love with Auburn every time I have come down there."
