Pugh Gives Visit a 10

Center prospect Ryan Pugh discusses his visit to Auburn over the weekend. He was one of five official visitors, including high school teammate Josh Chapman.

Hoover, Ala.--Scout.com four-star center prospect Ryan Pugh, a long-time verbal who pledged to Auburn on June 29, 2006, took his official visit the Plains over the weekend and got to hang out with one of his old teammates.

"It was a good time," Pugh tells Inside the Auburn Tigers. "I had fun, a lot of fun. I got to hang out with Neil (Caudle) on Friday night and (Andrew) McCain last night. I toured the campus yesterday and got to meet with the coaches.

"I played with Neil for two years so I knew him real well," he adds. Pugh was Caudle's center at Spain Park in 2004 and an offensive tackle in 2005 before transferring to prep power Hoover for his senior season.

Having been committed to Auburn for so long and being a frequent visitor to the campus, Pugh says he was still able to learn a little about Auburn he didn't know before his official.

"The campus, about the school and what is expected out of you," he explains. "A lot of the academic stuff that you didn't already know. I learned a lot of stuff with Coach Yox (strength and conditioning coach Kevin Yoxall)."

Pugh adds he was impressed with the academic center and weight room. "We got to look at those for a good bit. They're nice. The visit was a 10."

Pugh, who was a standout all week at the Army All-American Bowl in San Antonio earlier this month, is 12-0 this season in wrestling. He plans on moving to Auburn shortly after graduation from Hoover.
