Lynn Haven, Fla.--The hits just keep on coming for Auburn commitment and four-star running back Enrique Davis as he was named to the Parade All-American team on Sunday. One of just eight running backs on the team, Davis continues to add to a sterling list of accomplishments as a senior.
"Not many guys are on the team," Davis tells Inside The Auburn Tigers. "It was real neat. I didn't know I was on the team until the other day. The paper in Panama City doesn't come out but the newspaper guy called me and some I got some other calls about it. I think it came out today."
Davis was one of a select group to make the Parade list of backs. The other backs included on the team were Marc Tyler, Brandon Saine, Jonathan Dwyer, Broderick Green, Darren Evans, Jahvid Best and Bradley Stephens.
A 6-1, 215 bruiser of a back with good speed, Davis says he finished his senior season with between 1,300 and 1,400 yards and fell just short of the 20-touchdown mark. Despite most teams stacking the line to try to keep him in check Davis still managed to put up big numbers as a senior for Mosley High.
Davis says that he plans to sign with the Tigers at a ceremony Wednesday morning at his high school. The signing will take place at around 9:30 a.m. Davis chose the Tigers over dozens of other schools including Alabama, Georgia, LSU and South Carolina with Florida State the main competition.
