Sunshine State Standout Has Big Potential

Pensacola Catholic lineman/athlete Kyle Coulahan signed with Auburn on Wednesday.

Pensacola, Fla.--Versatile lineman prospect Kyle Coulahan, one of the first verbal commitments in the 2007 football class, has signed with the Tigers. At 6-5, 305 pounds with great athleticism, Coulahan played defensive end, defensive tackle, fullback and tight end during his prep days and projects as either an offensive tackle or defensive tackle at Auburn.

A three-star prospect, Coulahan played defensive end as a junior at West Florida High School before transferring to Pensacola Catholic High School as a senior. He had 85 tackles and eight sacks and also scored three touchdowns as a tight end at his only season at PCHS.

Coulahan had offers from South Florida and Central Florida and was also getting recruiting attention from Florida State, LSU and Texas before giving his verbal pledge to the Auburn coaches on April 6.

Coulahan enjoys lifting weights, hunting and fishing in his spare time.
