Eltoro Freeman signed his letter of intent on Wednesday to become and Auburn Tiger.
Alexander City, Ala.--The Auburn
connection to Benjamin Russell High School is alive and well as Tommy Tuberville has signed another player from the 5A Alabama
prep power in linebacker Eltoro Freeman
. He will join safety Eric Brock
and tight end Michael Goggans
as BRHS alums on the Auburn roster in 2007.
Freeman was one of many recruits who committed to Auburn during the summer of 2006. He chose the Tigers over Tennessee, Alabama and many top programs around the Southeast.
The 6-feet, 205-pound hard hitter has a similar build to current Auburn linebacker Tray Blackmon and he plays like former University of Miami LB Johnathan Vilma. Freeman is a Scout.com four-star and despite his size could play any of the three linebacker spots because of his speed and strength at the point of attack.
Auburn plans on signing another linebacker in the 2007 class in Adam Herring of Springdale, Ark. Bo Harris and Brent Slusher are two other 2007 Tiger prospects who could have a future at linebacker.
