Tuberville: Blackmon to Miss Spring

Auburn head football coach Tommy Tuberville comments on Tray Blackmon's status.

Auburn, Ala.--Tommy Tuberville said on Wednesday that linebacker Tray Blackmon will miss spring practice.

"Tray Blackmon will not be with us this spring," Tuberville explains. "He won't be with us until the summer. He's taking care of his personal problems."

Blackmon was suspended indefinitely prior to the Tigers' Cotton Bowl game against Nebraska. He did not make the trip to Dallas with his teammates.

The up and coming redshirt sophomore linebacker is not in school this semester as he takes care of his personal problems. He was also suspended for the first six games of the 2006 season for an alcohol related arrest prior to the season.

"We are expecting Tray to be back with his teammates the first of June," the coach says.
