"He has got good size, real good strength and he has the speed so he has all of the tools," Brown says. "I expect him to do real well at Auburn.
"I have coached some real good running backs in the 30 years I have been coaching and he has got probably the best tools out of any I have coached. I coached one kid (Troy Hambrick) who went to the pros."
Davis, who rushed for right at 3,200 yards the past two seasons, is one of two members of the Auburn signee class named to the Parade All-American team. Offensive tackle, Lee Ziemba, from Rogers, Ark., High is the other.
The tailback signed scholarship papers at his school on Wednesday and noted that a big crowd came out to watch the event. "I feel great about my decision to play for Auburn," he says.
Brown notes that Davis will bring a good work ethic and a positive attitude to college. "He is a guy who is well respected here at Mosley High," the coach says.
