One of the junior prospects who decided to take advantage of the beautiful spring weather to check out the Tigers is Carson Anderson, who made the trip in from Florence, where he has started at offensive guard since his sophomore season.
A 6-2, 275-pounder who is an A-B honor roll student and an all-area and all-region selection in football, Anderson made the trip and says he is glad he did.
"I had a great time," he tells Inside the Auburn Tigers. "I enjoyed all of the coaches and I enjoyed the practice. I really liked the campus."
The trip to Auburn was the second junior day visit for Anderson and he has at least one more trip planned. "I have been to Alabama and I went on some visits last year to Tennessee," he says. "I am going to go to Tennessee's junior day in a few weeks. I have got a trip planned to Mississippi State's, too, but I am not sure if I am going to go or not."
Anderson says he doesn't have a favorite right now. "I have always been a fan of all schools," he notes.
One college coaching staff has already made it clear that they are fans of Anderson's play. "I have one scholarship offer and it is from Tennessee," the lineman says. "They made the offer last week."
Some of the other prospects visiting the AU campus on Saturday include:
*Safety Dee Finley from Auburn High School.
*Running back Justin Albert from 2006 6A state champion Prattville High.
*Wide receiver Dekendrick Moncrief, who is also from Prattville High.
*Offensive lineman Ricky Barnum from Lake Gibson, Fla., High School.
*Safety Robert Lester from Foley High School.
