The first outdoor pool for the Auburn swimming program is being built on the site of the old Luther Young Tennis complex near Beard-Eaves Memorial Coliseum.
Both the men's and women's swimming teams won the NCAA national championships in March at the final Auburn meets for Coach David Marsh, who is taking a post with USA Swimming in Charlotte, N.C. Richard Quick is returning to AU to take over for his second run as head coach of the Tigers.
Work continues on a new tennis complex that will be the home for Auburn University's tennis teams as well as the city of Auburn's courts. Shown are the 16 clay courts that are part of the facility, which will have 34 total courts.
The new complex will have six indoor tennis courts for the teams coached by Eric Shore and Tim Gray.
