ScoutTV: AU Verbal Vance Smith

Vance Smith, from Pace, (Fla.), became Auburn's second commitment for the class of 2007 when he announced his decision in March.

Smith is an athletic 6-4, 240-pound tight end who runs extremely well and has good hands. He caught 12 passes for approximately 200-yards during his junior season.

"It was a real easy decision for me," Smith told Jason Caldwell of Inside the Auburn Tigers. "My dad graduated from Auburn, and I grew up an Auburn fan. I bleed orange and blue. That made it an easy decision for me. Auburn was the first school to offer me, but LSU, Ole Miss and Alabama were recruiting me pretty hard."

"Ever since I can remember I wanted to play at Auburn. It was a no brainer."
