Although water is in the pool, it will still be the end of the summer before the construction project is completed for the outdoor training facility for the national champion men's and women's swimming teams. The pool is located at the site of the old Luther Young Tennis Courts.
Construction is in the final stages at Auburn's new tennis complex that is expected to open in July. The facility will be shared by the Auburn University men's and women's teams as well as the city of Auburn. Shown are some of the 16 clay courts at the complex. In the background is the indoor facility, which has six courts.
Another view of the clay courts is shown with the city of Auburn's clubhouse in the background. The complex is on Richland Road off of Shug Jordan Parkway.
The front entrance of the city's tennis clubhouse is shown.
The indoor tennis complex also has office space for the women's and men's coaching staff along with locker rooms, storage, meeting rooms and a display room.
A view from the spectator terrace shows several of the dozen hardcourts that are part of the complex.
The men's and women's golf teams will be moving into a new home at the Auburn University Club later this year. The view is front the front of the facility.
A view from the driving range shows the rollup doors that will allow the Tiger golfers to hit balls even during inclement weather.
A view of the entrance at the golf complex is shown. The teams currently work out of small offices at Beard-Eaves Memorial Coliseum.
