Auburn Summer Construction Photo Gallery 7

Scenes from the construction projects at Jordan-Hare Stadium, the new pool and the new tennis complex are featured.

Auburn's new high definition video board at Jordan-Hare Stadium will be twice the size of the video board it is replacing. Crews worked on the project over the weekend and it should be ready in plenty of time for the Sept. 1st season opener vs. Kansas State.

A shot of the new video board from the west stands gives a perspective on its size.

Construction is nearly completed on the outdoor swimming pool for the men's and women's teams that is scheduled to open in August.

The defending national champion men's and women's swimming teams will use the outdoor facility for training. It is also expected to be used for summer camps and a variety of regional competitions.

Just north of the new pool, which is located on the site of the old Luther Young Tennis Courts, construction crews are pushing dirt for a new dorm complex that is expected to be the home base for many of AU's athletes. It will be located next to the next basketball arena, which was approved earlier this summer. Beard-Eaves Memorial Coliseum in the background on the left side of the photo.

The men's and women's tennis teams are moving into the new Yarbrough Tennis Center on Richland Road. Part of the complex includes six indoor courts with office space for the coaching staffs, meeting rooms and other amenities for the Tigers.
