Lebo Gets Good News on Recruit

The Auburn men's basketball team got some good news for the 2007-2008 season.

Auburn, Ala.--Auburn's largest basketball signee of the Jeff Lebo Era has qualified for freshman eligibility.

Boubacar Sylla, a 7-1, 260-pound center, is expected to play immediately for the 2007-2008 Tigers who were looking for a true post presence on the team.

Sylla, who played at Stoneridge Prep in California, is a native of France. He chose Auburn over Southern Cal, Fresno State and others.

Auburn's other signee is also a prep school player. Tyrell Lynch, a 6-8 power forward from Buffalo, N.Y., is still awaiting word on whether or not he will be able to play for the Tigers this year.

Auburn's team is currently practicing for an exhibition tour to Mexico. The Tigers will fly to Cancun on Wednesday.
