News and notes from Auburn's Saturday scrimmage are featured.

The notes are from Auburn's first scrimmage of the 2007 preseason.

*Freshman quarterback Kodi Burns, after a slow start, was impressive both running and throwing the football. He had two runs of 30-plus yards and showed a strong arm passing the football.

*The offensive line, as a group, was outplayed by the defensive front. The offensive line with SEC officials there, got several holding penalties.

*Antonio Coleman, who has been bothered by a hamstring injury, played well on defense.

*Linebacker Bo Harris had an impressive performance at the scrimmage and showed an aggressive streak.

*Tailback Mario Fannin was impressive throughout the scrimmage. The Tigers had just three tailbacks available with Ben Tate and Brad Lester also carrying the football.
