Auburn Picks Up RB Commitment

Auburn picked up a verbal commitment on Friday from one of the top running backs in the Southeast.

Auburn, Ala.--Auburn picked up a verbal commitment from running back Reggie Hunt of Daphne, Ala., High School. He is the second running back in this class joining re-commit Enrique Davis and the 12th overall commitment for Auburn's 2008 class.

Hunt had well over 10 scholarship offers and chose the Tigers over Florida, Georgia, Oklahoma and West Virginia. At 5-10, 185 pounds, he is a three-star prospect and the 39th rated running back in the country.

Hunt carried the ball 72 times for 709 yards and 12 touchdowns for the Daphne Trojans as a junior in 2006 and was a 6A All-State Honorable Mention.

Hunt was a standout at an Auburn two-day camp in early June.

The Trojans square off in a jamboree against Theodore on Friday night... More to come.
