*Redshirt freshman Zac Etheridge led the Tigers in tackles with six solos and two assists in his first start. Senior CB Patrick Lee was next with three solos and three assists, which was a career high.

*Auburn sophomore defensive end Antonio Coleman said after the game that he had no intention of falling on the fourth quarter fumble because every day in practice he had worked on the scoop and score play.

*Auburn's players are getting Sunday off and will practice on Monday, their normal day off. There are no classes on Monday due to the Labor Day holiday.

*Kansas State's Jordy Nelson said, "We have to learn to finish and Auburn is a team that does not quit."
