Part II, Sunday AU Football Practice Notes

Notes from the Auburn football Tigers are featured as they prepare for a road trip to meet the Florida Gators.

*Eric Brock, who lined up at strongside linebacker last night, will continue to do that in practice this week with all of the injury issues the Tigers have had at linebacker. Coach James Willis says that Eric is a smart player and did a good job at the new assignment.

*Brock said after practice this evening that he expects he will rotate between linebacker and safety this week against Florida. He says that in his duties at safety he often lines up close to the line of scrimmage, there is a lot of carryover making the move to linebacker.

*Chris Evans, who tweaked an ankle in practice last week and hurt a knee in practice on Saturday night, says he got good news today on his MRI on his knee and he expects to be back on the field on Tuesday for practice.

*Evans said that fellow linebacker Tray Blackmon has told him he plans to be on the field this week against the Gators although he is listed as 50-50 by Tommy Tuberville.

*The Tigers will head into this week's contest at Florida Field trying to win a 13th consecutive game when they have worn their white uniforms.

> *Florida is ranked No. 4 in the AP poll this week and No. 3 in the USA Today poll. Auburn has won eight of its last nine games against opponents ranked in the Top 10.

*The Tigers had a significantly longer than normal Sunday practice despite the late Saturday night finish to their 55-20 victory over New Mexico State.
