Two Tigers Make Coaches' All-SEC

Birmingham, Ala.--Defensive end/linebacker Quentin Groves and punter Ryan Shoemaker have been selected to the Coaches' All-SEC team.

Groves, a senior from Greenville, Miss., made first team All-SEC and was the only pick from the defense that led the SEC in scoring. Groves was hampered midseason after dislocating three toes against Florida, and he finished 10th on team in tackles with 35, third in sacks with three, and fourth in tackles for loss with seven.

Groves is expected to be a high draft pick following this season.

Redshirt freshman Ryan Shoemaker averaged 43.2 yards per punt as Auburn finished first in the league and third in the nation in net punting. Shoemaker was tied for a spot on the second team All-SEC.

Auburn did not have any players selected on offense.

LSU lead the All-SEC team with 10 selections, followed by Arkansas (8), Florida (8), Tennessee (7), Alabama (6), Kentucky (5), Mississippi State (4), South Carolina (4), Vanderbilt (4), Georgia (3), Ole Miss (2) and Auburn (2).
