Recruit Calls Auburn Visit "Perfect"

A football prospect who checked out the Tigers discusses his trip to Auburn.

Miami, Fla.--Dr. Krop High School defensive lineman Jorge Wright had nothing but good things to say about his official visit to Auburn.

"My visit went great," he told Inside the Auburn Tigers. "I really enjoyed the campus. I loved it."

The 6-3, 260-pounder says he is seriously considering the Tigers if Auburn decides to offer a scholarship. He is also being recruited by Tennessee, where he will visit next week, Central Florida and West Virginia.

"Mike Blanc was my host," Wright notes. "He is a great guy. He showed me around campus, the little ins and outs that I didn't see on my tour. He took me out at night and we had a lot of fun."

Commenting on other things that stood out about his trip, Wright says, "I met with a lot of the academic folks and they were real thorough in explaining the curriculum.

"We toured the facilities," he says. "On Saturday night we had a meal downstairs at the stadium and then we walked out into the stadium. That was really nice. The food was great and the hospitality and everything was perfect."

Wright says he was very interested in the Tigers before the trip and that has not changed.

A player known for his quickness and ability to rush the passer, he had 19 sacks as a senior for Dr. Krop High. "I play both defensive end and defensive tackle and I play both equally well," he says.

The lineman notes he left Auburn with a good feeling about the Tiger program. "I didn't know how the coaches were going to be or what to expect, but everybody I met I liked. Everything was good. Everybody respects everybody."
