12:38 p.m.: Harry Adams' fax has been received by the Auburn coaches, and they also got one from running back prospect Onterio McCalebb, who is expected to start his career in junior college. Jerrell Harris appears to be at the moment the only prospect out there who may sign with the Tigers.

Breakdown by position, including the four early enrollees and excluding the four sign-to-place (B. Smith, K. Adams, Allen, McCalebb):
QB-3: Trotter, Todd and Furr
RB-2: E. Smith and Hunt
TE-1: V. Smith
WR-4: Winter, Pierre-Louis, H. Adams, D. Adams
OL-1: Johnson
DL-5: Henderson, Savage, Wadley, Smooth, Lykes, Gray
LB-2: Barnes, Pybus
DB-6: Lipscomb, Thompson, Hood, Jemison, Bell, Cole

Onterio McCalebb: Fla. Running Back Prospect Signs With AU
Jermaine Johnson: Tigers Sign Four-Star O-Lineman

**********

12:28 p.m. Jermaine Johnson, the only offensive lineman in this class, is in.

Noon: Still waiting on Johnson and Adams. With so many guys signing scholarships out of Hargrave Military, the process can just take a while to get everything finalized. Dillard is usually the same way, and there aren't any concerns about those two guys.

**********

11:20 a.m.: Here is the link to Drew's Freddie Smooth story. The only commitments we're waiting on now are Jermaine Johnson, Harry Adams and Brandon Smith, though Smith be is a sign and place prospect who may be signed a later date. Also, Jerrell Harris' announcement is scheduled for 2 p.m.

Here are some of the signing day announcements:
Jarmon Fortson - Florida State
George Baker - South Florida
Robert Quinn - North Carolina
Enrique Davis - Ole Miss
Marcel Dareus - Alabama

**********

11:13 a.m. Freddie Smooth's fax just came in. He's a big guy at 6-4, 308 who played both sides of the line for coach Mickey Joseph at Desire Street Academy. Some might remember Joseph from his days as an option quarterback at Nebraska in the late '80s and early '90s.

10:50 a.m. Running backs Eric Smith and Reggie Hunt have signed with Auburn. Unfortunately the Tigers just lost another on the fence--George Baker to South Florida.

8:58 a.m.: Four-star defensive end Andre Wadley has signed with Auburn. He comes from the same high school in Hernando, Miss., as guys like Kevin Dockery (New York Giants) and Deljuan Robinson (Houston Texans). I spoke with Wadley's head coach Anthony Jenkins, and he told me Wadley benches 360, squats 550 and power cleans 310... talk about explosive!

8:00 a.m.: Here's where the excitement could be with Central time zone prospects now given the green light to fax their papers.

Nationally recruiting analyst Miller Safrit just posted something that may interest Tiger fans in his blog: "Already, we are hearing some big news coming up later today as Enrique Davis, an Auburn signee last year at Hargrave Military Academy, plans to announce his commitment today at 10:45 with the rest of his Hargrave teammates. He is looking at Tennessee, Ole Miss, and Auburn and we are hearing he should stick with his original commitment of Auburn." -- Miller Safrit

7:56 a.m.: As mentioned earlier this morning, four student-athletes are already enrolled this semester: Raven Gray, Chris Todd, Deshaun Barnes and DeRon Furr. They just signed their papers, but I doubt they had to fax them.

Vance Smith, a tight end from Pace, Fla., just signed as well. Click here.

7:48 a.m.: T'Sharvan Bell just signed with Auburn. Click here for the story. Bell led the Osceola Cowboys to the 5A state championship game against Pierre-Louis, Christian Thompson and company from St. Thomas Aquinas, but unfortunately for Bell he was injured heading into that game. Bell could get an early look at safety or corner this summer.

7:40 a.m.: Darvin Adams just signed with the Tigers. Click here for the story. He's a receiver who the ITAT gang was really impressed with at a passing camp this summer. Adams is a big target because of his length and he catches about everything in his direction.

7:25 a.m.: Still just Pierre-Louis, with his fax coming first, and Dellenbach on the list. Auburn's interest in Pierre-Louis picked up big-time with the hire of new offensive coordinator Tony Franklin. He could turn out to be a dangerous player in the slot at Auburn. While you don't see many snappers publicized on signing day, it hasn't been uncommon at all for Tuberville to put a snapper on scholarship. Current snapper Robert Shiver as well as guys like Pete Compton, Chas Crofoot, Jeremy Wells and Michael Lindsay are in the same category.

7:02 a.m.: Philip Pierre-Louis and Dax Dellenbach just became the first two official members of the class 2008 Auburn football signing class.

6:55 a.m.: How many is Auburn expected to sign? That's a tough question that won't be answered until the end of the day. Last year there were several sign-to-place surprises. This year the numbers are tricky. Deshaun Barnes, Chris Todd, DeRon Furr and Raven Gray enrolled at Auburn University for classes in January. Damion Allen gave his verbal pledge, but has already enrolled in junior college. The following is a list of commitments expected to sign with Auburn on Wednesday:
Vance Smith
Drew Cole
Darvin Adams
Reggie Hunt
Harry Adams
Barrett Trotter
Jermaine Johnson
T'Sharvan Bell
Marcus Jemison
D'Antoine Hood
Philip Pierre-Louis
Christian Thompson
Derrick Lykes
Eric Smith
Ken Adams
Freddie Smooth
Brandon Smith
Andre Wadley
Jomarcus Savage
Dax Dellenbach
Neiko Lipscomb
Derek Winter
Spencer Pybus
Cameron Henderson

Jarmon Fortson and George Baker were long-time commitments to the Tigers, but have since backed off. However, both are still slight possibilities to Auburn with Baker being the more likely of the two. Fortson will be choosing between Auburn and Florida State while Baker is still considering South Florida and Rutgers. Four-star running back prospect Onterio McCalebb is also a sign-to-place possibility.

6:40 a.m.: The ITAT staff is already at it in preparation for today's events. Jason Caldwell just got done eating Byron's Smokehouse for breakfast with Tommy Tuberville and the entire gang, and is now heading over to campus where he'll will be stationed at the Auburn football complex waiting for the faxes to come through. Mark Murphy, Drew Crowson and myself will be spending most of the morning here at the ITAT headquarters updating the site, answering questions on the message boards and making phone calls.

Here is just a quick run-through of some of today's events, all times Central:
7 a.m.: Faxes can start coming into the Auburn coaching staff from recruits in the Eastern time zone. Check the Tiger Ticket message board for the quickest update, but this blog will also be updated almost immediately and individual stories will be on the front page as soon as possible.
8 a.m.: Faxes should start arriving from prospects in the Central time zone.
9:30 a.m.: Robert Quinn, a defensive end prospect from Fort Dorchester High in North Charleston, S.C., is expected to choose between Auburn, North Carolina and Alabama.
10 a.m.: Marcel Dareus and Demerius Dareus, defensive linemen and brothers from Huffman High in Birmingham, are expected to announce their intentions.
Noon: Most of the decisions have been made and Auburn head coach Tommy Tuberville will hold a press conference to discuss this year's class.
2 p.m.: Linebacker Jerrell Harris of Gadsden City will announce his decision. He is expected to choose between Auburn, Alabama, Clemson, Southern California and Tennessee.
4 p.m.: An action-packed two hours of Inside the Auburn Tigers Radio begins. The show with Mark, Jason and Brad Law will feature several coaches of Auburn's latest signees. Click here for the live link from 4-6 p.m. or listen on 1400 AM, 98.7 FM or 100.3 HD2 in the Auburn area.
6 p.m.: Tom Slater will hold a press conference at 6 p.m., with first pitch for the Auburn baseball season is set for Feb. 22 against East Tennessee State.
7 p.m.: Kentucky versus Auburn in men's basketball at Beard-Eaves Memorial Coliseum. The Wildcats struggled early in the year, but have recent wins over Tennessee and Georgia in conference play.
8 p.m.: If you can't make it to the Auburn game during the middle of the week, the perfect game for a hobby transition from football recruiting to college basketball is on ESPN. #2 Duke at #3 North Carolina.

Enrique Davis is another blue-chipper on the radar for Auburn, but isn't 100 percent certain he will make a move on signing day. He "decommitted" from Auburn after the hire of Tony Franklin to run the spread, but the Tigers may be back in great shape for Davis' signature.

For the readers with the mouse hovering over the refresh button, I'll try to keep the timeline in reverse order so that the most recent updates appear at the top of the blog.

12:01 a.m.: Welcome to the Inside the Auburn Tigers signing day blog, which will be updated numerous times througout the day. We'll have dozens of stories on the autigers.com and I'll do my best to keep those linked up in this blog. I'll also try to keep everyone up to date on announcements, announcement times and everything else happening on this exciting day.

Prospects from the Eastern time zone can start signing and sending their letters of intent after 7 a.m. Central time so get some sleep and be sure to brew an extra pot of coffee in the morning.
