Savage Signs

Jomarcus Savage has signed with the Auburn Tigers.

Huntsville, Ala.--J.O. Johnson High School defensive standout Jomarcus Savage is the latest player to sign with the Auburn Tigers. Savage, a three-star rated player by Scout.com , is one of the more versatile defenders to sign with the Tigers this year.

A 6-3, 270-pound linebacker/end/tackle was ranked as the No. 34 defensive tackle in the country by Scout.com, but could play any number of positions on the Auburn defense.

He recorded 79 tackles and nine sacks his junior year for coach Harold Wells' team and was named All-State team both his junior and senior seasons.

Savage had other offers from schools like South Carolina and Southern Miss, but in the end had to make a decision between Auburn and Tennessee. After taking an official visit to both schools, he announced his intentions to sign with Auburn on Jan. 30.
