Hood In The House

A report on Auburn's latest football signee on Wednesday is featured.

Phenix City, Ala.--D'Antoine Hood has signed with the Auburn Tigers. The cousin of former Auburn and current Arizona Cardinal, Roderick Hood, D'Antoine projects to play cornerback, the same position his cousin played for the Tigers from 1999-2002.

Hood chose Auburn over scholarship offers from Memphis, Georgia Southern, Arkansas State, Alabama State and Alabama A&M and also drew interest after his Auburn offer from Clemson and Maryland. He was selected to play in the Alabama-Mississippi High School All-Star Game in December.

The 5-9, 185-pounder was a standout at a summer camp at Auburn prior to his senior year and drew an offer from the Tigers late in the process in early January. He gave his verbal to the Tigers on Jan. 8 and took official visits to Auburn and Memphis.
