Snapper Takes The Bait On Offer To Auburn

Dax Dellenbach has signed to play for the Auburn Tigers.

Coconut Creek, Fla.--Deep snapper Dax Dellenbach has signed with Auburn.

Dellenbach played tight end and defensive end in high school at North Broward Prep, but will be used primarily on special teams for Auburn. Like many of Auburn's commitments. Dellenbach was a multi-sport star in high school. He played lacrosse and track as well as football.

Dellenbach is the son of former Wisconsin Badger Jeff Dellenbach, who played center and deep snapper in the NFL for 15 years. The 6-1, 220-pounder chose Auburn over his father's alma mater and looks to make an impact early for the Tigers.

Auburn adds talent to its special teams with this signee. The Tigers return Robert Shiver, who snapped on place kicking and punts, but he will be a senior in 2008.
