Enrique Davis To Ole Miss

Enrique Davis has made it official on Monday by signing with first-year head coach Houston Nutt and the Ole Miss Rebels.

Chatham, Va.--One of the more intriguing recruiting stories in recent memory came to an end on Wednesday when Hargrave Military running back Enrique Davis signed with the Ole Miss Rebels, ending three weeks of speculation following his decommitment from Auburn in mid January.

A signee with Auburn in 2007 out of Mosely High in Lynn Haven, Fla., the 6-1, 215 Davis is a four-star prospect and one of the top running back prospects in the country this time around.

A solid commitment to Auburn since last year's signing day up until Al Borges was replaced by the spread offense of Tony Franklin, Davis expressed concern over the direction of the Auburn offense and began looking around at several other schools.

Among his visits other than to Auburn and Oxford were trips to Oregon and finally Tennessee on the last weekend before signing day. Davis also had offers from Florida State, Maryland and numerous other schools before narrowing his list down to a final four schools.
