Florida RB Prospect Signs With AU

A talented prospect who was a camp standout at Auburn signed with Tommy Tuberville's Tigers.

Fort Meade, Fla.--Onterio McCalebb, who is rated a four star running back prospect, is a sign-to-place prospect who signed scholarship papers on Wednesday with the Auburn Tigers.

A standout at an AU summer camp, he rushed for 1,995 yards and 27 touchdowns as a senior at Fort Meade High School and caught 11 passes for 300 yards. He also returned two kicks for touchdowns.

He had previously committed to West Virginia and later to Rutgers, where he visited the last weekend in January.

Commenting on Auburn, he says he likes AU head coach Tommy Tuberville and the rest of the staff. "They are real nice. Coach Tommy Tuberville is a cool guy and it's a nice, small college town atmosphere. They get a lot of guys into the league and the academics are good, too."

As a junior McCalebb ran for 1,421 yards and 23 touchdowns and caught 23 passes for 448 yards and six TDs. He scored a TD on a punt return and another on a kickoff return.

"I really the facilities at Auburn and the people I met there," says the running back, who took an official visit to AU in September.
