AU Signee Scores 33 in State Semi-finals

Birmingham, Ala.--Auburn signee Frankie Sullivan will get a chance to play for his fifth Alabama High School Athletic Association state basketball title on Wednesday night.

With Sullivan leading the way with 33 points, 10 rebounds, five steals and four assists without turnover, his R.C. Hatch Bobcats advanced to the Class 2A championship game with a 71-52 victory over White Plains on Monday night at the Birmingham-Jefferson Civic Center.

Hatch improved its record to 27-1 with the victory and White Plains ends its season at 26-6.

Sullivan, who signed with Auburn in November, played on state championship teams as a seventh grader, eighth grader, ninth grader and a junior. Auburn head coach Jeff Lebo was in Birmingham to watch one of his four early signees in action.

Sullivan hit 12-21 field goals in the semi-final game and was 2-9 on threes and 7-9 at the foul line.
