"I am transferring to Kennesaw State," the 6-9 forward tells Inside the Auburn Tigers. "I will have to sit out next season and then I will have two years of eligibility there."
Heramb, who is from Douglasville, Ga., notes he is departing on good terms with the AU program and is hoping to see more playing time at Kennesaw State. Auburn head coach Jeff Lebo has granted the forward a release from his scholarship.
The forward will be following in the footsteps of his older brother, Stephen, who played forward for Kennesaw State, a young Division I basketball program located in Kennesaw, Ga., not far from Heramb's hometown.
The Owls, who finished 10-20 this season, play Division I basketball in the Atlantic Sun Conference.
As a sophomore the forward averaged 3.0 points and 1.4 rebounds per game for Auburn.
