Tigers Bow Out at SEC Women's Tennis Tourney

A report on the AU women's tennis team's second round SEC Tournament match is featured.

Auburn, Ala.--After shutting out South Carolina in the opening round of the SEC Women's Tennis Tournament, the host Auburn Tigers were shut out themselves 4-0 on Friday in a quarterfinals loss to top-seed Florida.

Florida will play Vanderbilt in one semi-finals contest at 2 p.m. on Saturday while the other match features Arkansas vs. Georgia at 10 a.m. at the Yarbrough Tennis Center.

"We played a great match today," Florida coach Roland Thornqvist. "It was great being able to play a team like Auburn in the quarterfinals. They are led by the SEC player of the year. I think our team play tremendously well."
