Another Honor for Auburn's Clanton

Auburn, Ala.--The honors continue to pile up for Auburn women's golfer Cydney Clanton.

The latest is being selected a second team All-American by Golfweek after averaging a team-best 73.54 strokes per round, which was the nation's 13th best average.

Earlier, she was named SEC Freshman of the Year. She was also named a first team All-America by the National Golf Coaches Association plus won the NCAA Women's Golf Freshman of the Year award.

Clanton, who hopes to qualify for the U.S. Women's Open this summer, will also compete for the United States in a competition vs. Japan.
