Pryor Cuts List To Four

Running back Lonnie Pryor talks with Inside the Auburn Tigers about his camp visit and narrows his list to four schools.

Okeechobee, Fla.—Four-star tailback prospect Lonnie Pryor of Okeechobee High School had a busy week on the recruiting trail. He made visits to Clemson and Georgia prior to camping at Auburn on Saturday. Following the trip, Pryor says he's narrowed his list from dozens of scholarship offers down to just four schools.

"I visited Clemson, Georgia and Auburn," Pryor explains. "Those are the other three schools that I really wanted to see. After the whole trip I wanted to make my decision to cut it to four that I'm really going to look at.

"After the whole trip I chopped it down to four," he adds. "The four are going to be Florida State, LSU, Clemson and Georgia. Those are going to be my top four that I really look at."

The 6-0, 195 runner has already started lining up official visits and has three of the four scheduled.

"I'm going to Florida State when they play Florida (Nov. 29)," Pryor says. "I'm going to Clemson when they play Georgia Tech (Oct. 18) then I'm going to LSU when they play Georgia (Oct. 25). I'll probably set up an official visit for Georgia, but I don't know which game yet."

Pryor says he had a good time at the Auburn camp working with running backs coach Eddie Gran, but it wasn't enough to keep the Tigers in the picture with several other top programs.

"I came up with five other players on the team," Pryor says. "I got there Friday and I stayed until Saturday. I had fun when I was up there, especially when we did the whole camp thing. We did one-on-ones and I had fun doing that and seeing the campus. Hanging out with Coach Gran was real fun."
