Sunday Auburn Football Practice Notes, Part I

News and notes from Auburn's football practice are featured.

Notes from Auburn's Sunday football practice:

*The Tigers practiced for 2 1/2 hours in full pads with a good bit of the session 11 on 11 work with the first offense vs. the first defense as well as work vs. the scout teams.

*Freshman defensive end Jomarcus Savage, who has been sidelined by a shoulder problem, looked good at practice today and will be ready for game action on Saturday, Tommy Tuberville said.

*Bart Eddins, a backup tackle and guard, should be ready to play on Saturday. He is recovering from a shoulder problem.

*Morgan Hull was 5-5 on field goals at practice as he got all of the work with starter Wes Byrum being rested.

*Punter Clinton Durst, who has been running number one, was rested, too. Ryan Shoemaker, who has been bothered by a "slight hamstring problem" got work at punter and had a solid day, Tuberville said. A decision on the starting punter is expected on Tuesday.

*Walk-on Justin Albert from Prattville was cleared today and is working on the scout team. He had knee surgery in December. He is getting his first look at running back, but could play receiver or even cornerback. <

*The Tigers will take Monday off from practice before hitting the field again for a workout on Tuesday morning. The Tigers are not scheduled to work in pads any more this week.
