DE Out as Auburn 2009 Commitment

A football recruiting report on the Auburn Tigers is featured.

Weston, Miss.--Defensive end Wilfred Journet, who re-committed to Auburn in May, has left school at Copiah-Lincoln Community College where he was scheduled to be a sophomore this season.

Journet is no longer considered a commitment for the Tigers, who are not expected to continue to recruit him.

A sign to place prospect for the Tigers out of high school, Journet had his freshman season cut short at Copiah-Lincoln due to a hip injury.

A 6-2. 250-pounder out of Acadiana High in LaFayette, he was the Louisiana Class 5A Defensive Player of the Year as a senior when he made 145 tackles with 24 sacks and 40 tackles for a loss, he blocked six kicks and also scored three touchdowns on defense.
