*Kodi Burns is now listed as "questionable" for the Southern Miss game, Coach Tommy Tuberville said after practice today. The coach said Auburn's game one starting quarterback is sore after having his leg cut Saturday night during a tackle. A sharp edge on the helmet left a seven-inch cut and required stitches.

Tuberville says he doesn't know when Burns will be ready for action or if he will play this week vs. Southern Mississippi.

*Running back/receiver John Douglas (knee) did not practice on Monday. Douglas, a redshirt freshman, opened the season as a starter.

*Senior running back Tristan Davis was able to practice and could see action in game two after missing the opener.

*Defensive end A.J. Greene (hamstring) missed Monday's practice. The redshirt freshman was not cleared to play in the opener.

*Senior James Swinton (knee) did not practice on Monday. He was injured on the first play from scrimmage on Saturday night.

*Tuberville said that freshman Harry Adams, who did not play in the opener, is not going to redshirt. He will be on special teams and will have a chance to return kicks. Adams is also the No. 5 cornerback.

*Junior receiver Montez Billings (hamstring) was held out of practice. Billings, who had hamstring problems last season, missed the opener vs. ULM.

*With the injuries to the receivers, true freshman Derek Winter is expected to see action this week, Tuberville said.
