It will mark Auburn's second consecutive appearance on one of the ESPN networks, as this Satuday's game at Mississippi State will air at 6 p.m. CT on ESPN2. It will also be Auburn's first night game against LSU at Jordan-Hare Stadium since a 34-17 Auburn victory in 2000.
LSU leads the all-time series against Auburn, 22-19-1, and the home team has won the last eight games in the series dating back to a 41-7 Auburn victory in Baton Rouge in 1999. The winner of the Auburn-LSU game has represented the West in the SEC Championship game six times in the last eight seasons.
Auburn (2-0) will face Mississippi State this weekend following a 27-13 victory over Southern Miss. LSU (1-0) is scheduled to play North Texas Saturday night at Tiger Stadium weather permitting. LSU's game with Troy last week was postponed after Hurricane Gustav damaged the stadium and surrounding area in Baton Rouge.
