He made field goals from distances of 55, 52, 49, 45 and 37 yards with his only two misses coming on blocked kicks. He also added 35 punts for a 36-yard average.
Chris Sailer, of ChrisSailer Kicking, says that he is not surprised that Markey chose the Tigers.
"We have him rated as the number one kicking prospect in the country for 2010 and we expected he would be the first kicker in his class to get a scholarship offer and he was," Sailer says.
"He is a phenomenal kicker with a lot natural ability," Sailer adds. "He has all three attributes necessary to be a great kicker. He has the leg strength, the technique and the mental toughness.
"I am not surprised he chose Auburn," Sailer says. "He did very well at their summer camp and he likes their program. I think he will be an excellent kicker in college."
