Auburn's Players Reporting to Strength Coach

Auburn, Ala.--Athletic Director Jay Jacobs said that Auburn's strength and conditioning coach will have extra duties while AU tries to find a new head football coach to replace Tommy Tuberville.

Kevin Yoxall, a member of the Auburn staff since January 1999, supervises all strength and conditioning programs for Auburn athletes in every sport.

"We put Coach Yoxall in charge," Jacobs said on Thursday night during the AU Network's Tiger Talk show. "They (the football players) will continue the workouts with him."

Kevin Yoxall is shown supervising a 2007 winter workout.

Yoxall came to Auburn from UCLA where he was head strength and conditioning coach from 1995-98. Prior to that he was the University of Minnesota and TCU.

With no bowl game, Auburn's players have begun their offseason conditioning program that includes weight training and running drills.
