ALA All-Star: Jonathan Evans

Jonathan Evans, three-star weakside linebacker from Prichard-Blount, (Ala.), has been very impressive in the first few days of practice for the Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Classic. Evans talked about how things are going in Mobile and the status of his commitment to Auburn.

"Everything is going real good," said Jonathan Evans. "It has been raining a little bit, but it hasn't stopped us. We are trying to get better and learn all the plays."

"It felt good this morning to get inside away from the rain. I feel like I have been doing pretty good so far. I am just trying to learn everything."

Evans made an early commitment to Auburn. His older brother, Chris Evans, is a starting linebacker for the Tigers.

"It's crazy down there [Auburn] right now," he stated. "I don't know what is going to happen. I am going to sit and wait to see who they hire. I am still committed to them."

"I talked to coach [James] Willis before I came down here. He told me to keep in touch with him. He said everything is straight. He is looking forward to me coming to Auburn and that he is going to be there."

A few schools are in the running to receive official visits.

"I have been mainly talking to Clemson, Oklahoma State, Alabama and Florida State," Evans commented. "I am going to take my visits in January. I am not sure right now where I will visit."
