This top quarterback with ties to Alabama announced on Wednesday that he will sign with Auburn in February.

Phenix City, Ala.--Despite the fact that brothers Triandos and Nic are currently on the Alabama football team, Central High quarterback Kelcy McKissic-Luke announced at a press conference Wednesday that he will sign with the Auburn Tigers.

A 6-1, 187 athletic quarterback that had a tremendous season throwing the ball in addition to being a double threat running the option, McKissic-Luke led the Red Devils to a 10-2 season as a senior, his third year as a starter. He threw for over 1,500 yards and 17 touchdowns and rushed for an additional 500 yards as well.

He chose Auburn over Alabama, Georgia Tech, South Carolina and numerous other schools. While some consider him to be an athlete he will be a quarterback for the Tigers.

At a ceremony at Central High on Wednesday afternoon, the quarterback was joined by his parents and his brothers, who were wearing Crimson Tide sweatsuits.

McKissic-Luke had three hats at the press conference. The Alabama and Georgia Tech hats were too small as he tried them on, but the Auburn hat fit just right.

McKissic-Luke said that he has been leaning to Auburn for sometime now. He said that he decided he did not want to follow his brothers to Tuscaloosa because he likes the Auburn program and quarterback and offensive coordinator Bobby Petrino.
