Q&A With Bastrop High Coach Brad Bradshaw

Will five-star receiver prospect Rueben Randle officially visit Auburn this weekend? Inside the Auburn Tigers spoke with Bastrop head coach Brad Bradshaw to try to get the latest.

Do you know if Rueben Randle is taking an official visit to Auburn this weekend?
"They've been here, but I haven't seen an itinerary or anything."

Have you talked to him today about it?
"Not about that. I just got through doing an interview with him."

So you don't know one way or the other if he's going to visit Auburn?
"I wouldn't ask him that. It's his decision what visits he takes. I know a bunch of them are in there talking to him trying to get him there, but I've heard that."

About how many different colleges have by the school lately to recruit Rueben?
"The last three days, 15."

Do you know which schools he's seriously considering?
"I don't have any idea. If he's going to visit Auburn, then he's going to consider them. I know he's going to visit Alabama. LSU is one of them. Oklahoma is one of them. I'm sure Miami is one of them. They're in there talking to him now (Thursday afternoon). He talks to so many of them. It's his and his family's decision which ones he's going to visit."

What stands out about Rueben as a player? What has he done for you the last couple of years?
"He was a quarterback last year, but he's going to play wide receiver in college. He's got great ball skills, great height, great body coordination. He's pretty dang smart for one thing, and he can play more than one position. More than just one receiver. I think he's an excellent receiver, outside guy, but as smart as he is he can play almost any of them. He's got a good frame and he's just a great football player."
