McCalebb May Enroll at AU This Week

A report on Auburn football signee Onterio McCalebb is featured.

Auburn, Ala.--Running back Onterio McCalebb, a 2008 Auburn football signee, could be enrolling for classes at AU this week.

Team sources say that the former Ft. Meade, Fla., High standout could be enrolling for spring classes this week, however, he has not been approved yet by the NCAA Clearinghouse.

McCalebb spent the fall semester at Hargrave Military Academy in Virginia working on his academic situation at the prep school where he played on the football team.

Auburn's former coaching staff was hoping to re-sign him in December and have him enrolled in classes that started last Wednesday. However, he had academic work at Hargrave that needed to be finished before that could happen.

In December, McCalebb considered changing his commitment and signing with Clemson. However, he decided to stick with the AU Tigers under the direction of new head coach Gene Chizik.
