Plans Changed With Defensive Tackle Prospect

A football recruiting report on an in-state prospect is featured.

Greenville, Ala.--Long-time Auburn football verbal commitment Jamontay Pilson will not sign scholarship papers with the Tigers.

That is the word from Greenville High head football coach Ben Blackmon.

"Since Jamontay is going to junior college, Auburn decided not to send him scholarship papers," Blackmon says. "He is going to sign with Northwest Mississippi (community college.).

The 6-3, 258-pound defensive tackle committed to the Tigers in April. He is rated as a three-star prospect by Scout.com.

"Jamontay had a real good season for us," Blackmon says.
